La 'Piccola Pentecoste' (Atti 4,23-31) e i suoi testi paralleli
Polonia Sacra 10 (2002) 54, 343-356
Author specifies the principal message of the narration about prayer of the nascent Church during persecution (Acts 4,23-31) and then moves on to the exegetical analysis of the texts regarded as parallel to this narration: Luke 4,16-30; Acts 2,1-36; Isaiah 37,16-20. Luke (4,16-30) shows that Father is engaged in life of the Church in the same way as He was engaged in historical mission of Jesus and that the Holy Spirit, who anointed Jesus, filled the first Christians. Common motifs linking Acts 4,23-31 and Acts 2,1-36 are the following: acting of God Father, prayer, signs of God’s presence, proclamation of God’s Word and coming of the Holy Spirit. In relation to structure, Acts 4,23-31 resembles the prayer of Hezekiah (Isaiah 37,16-20), who asks God for protection of endangered Jerusalem.
