Luke's works (the Gospel and Acts) treat the topic of prayer in conjunction with acting of the Holy Spirit. Author of this article contends that there is some pattern established by Luke which has been used in order to realize the theological intentions of evangelist in Acts and Gospel. This pattern (prayer and pouring of the Spirit as a result of prayer) pictures progressive character of salvation history.
