„Figure of Jesus in Extra-Biblical Tradition of the Jews to the Time of Talmud's Edition”

Ateneum Kap³añskie 145 (2005) 3, 420-433.

Author analyses literary testimonies concerning Jesus from the early Jewish sources. The most objective one seems to be the famous mention of Josephus Flavius in Antiquitates judaicae, albeit corrupted by insertions introduced by a Christian copyist. There is no directly mention about Jesus in the prayer called Shemineh Esreh. However, the blessing (or better: malediction) of the heretics, i.e. Christians expresses pejorative attitude to Jesus himself. More mentions about Jesus we can find in Talmud; all of them provide a negative picture of the founder of Christianity.
