Biblical reasons of the prophetic dimension of the consecrated persons vocation. Vocation story of Jeremiah (Jr 1,4-8)
Vita consacrata 4 (2003) 42, 11-19.
The new God's people is prophetic people. This principle concerns, in a specific way, the consecrated persons because their life is marked by God's vocation. The article presents model of vocation story used by Jeremiah (which appeared also in other narrations of the same kind): choice, vocation, confidence of mission, objections of prophet, assurance of God assistance. The Jeremiah's model is a scheme, in which each called person can find him/herself. Established model has been based on the experience of Jeremiah vocation. Author analyses particular stages of this model. Analogy between Jeremiah and personal stories of people called today should be noted. This analogy has not to be complete but each present element has a different intensity. Each called person feels, in a moment of his/her life, the urging to the exclusive God's service, the urging which is taken as a prophetical calling
